A Lighter Way Into 2026

Happy New Year Reader!!

I’m genuinely excited about this year — for my work, my personal life, and the quieter shifts I’m making behind the scenes. I gave up on New Year’s resolutions a long time ago, but I do love choosing a word or two to guide the year ahead.

My theme for 2026: Lighter.

I want to feel lighter in my body and in my surroundings.

I’ll be honest (because transparency matters to me): I’m on a weight-loss journey for my health and my future self. I share that not for oversharing’s sake, but because it connects directly to what I talk about here all the time — how we spend our time, money, and energy. A fair amount of all three are going toward my health right now, and I’ll share more about that as it unfolds if it’s helpful to you.

When it comes to my surroundings, “lighter” means less stuff — and more intention.

I’ve already done a lot of decluttering, especially in my closet. I was so thorough about letting go of what no longer served me or wasn’t getting worn that I had a funny realization: I don’t actually have much left. 😂 This year, I’m intentionally adding just a few key pieces that truly fit my life now.

Next up: my office.
Paper files, digital clutter, unused cables, random pens — all of it. I’m looking forward to creating a space that holds only what I need and genuinely want around me.

You know my tagline: Spend with intention. Live with purpose.

And when I talk about spending, I don’t just mean money. I mean how we spend our time and energy, too.

So here’s something I want to invite you to consider this year:

Don’t just buy with intention. Use with intention.

That thing you researched, saved for, and finally bought — are you actually using it?

Because here’s the truth:

Price ≠ Value

The price of something doesn’t automatically determine its value to you.

  • You spend $250 on something and use it once — its value is $250 per use.
  • You spend $500 on something and use it 10 times a year — its value becomes $50 per use.

Lighter living isn’t always about spending less. It’s about making sure what you have is actually serving you.

I'd love to hear what’s your word or theme for 2026? I genuinely what to know so just hit reply and tell me.

Warmly,

Litsa

PS: If “lighter” sounds especially appealing when it comes to your money — fewer mental tabs open, more clarity about where your dollars are actually going — that’s exactly what we work on inside Cashflow Clarity (a focused reset) and Cashflow Confidence (ongoing support to make your spending feel calm and intentional again). No pressure — just know the door is open when you’re ready.
